If You See Something, Say Something
Following the attacks on 9/11, Federal, State and local law enforcement looked for better ways to involve citizens in sharing information and reporting suspicious activities that may be precursors to terrorist or criminal activities. Stemming from these these efforts, the “See Something, Say Something ” campaign was adopted by the Department of Homeland Security. “See Something, Say Something” encourages citizens to speak up when they see something that appears unusual or suspicious or makes them feel uncomfortable and may be a precursor to crime or terrorist activities. AlertID makes it simple for you. “If you see something, say something” and share what you’ve seen with authorities. You can make an anonymous online report through AlertID that will automatically be sent to your local or regional multi-agency counter-terrorism center. Coming March 2012 - The AlertID community will be able to submit a Suspicious Activity Report directly to over 130 Fusion centers across the Country.
